Over the past six months, we've begun working more closely with our vendors to improve our anti-cheats and will continue to do so. We take exploit abuse and hacking very seriously, as they create an unbalanced, unfair, and degenerate play environment.
We've focused many resources on confirming the veracity of our ban rules to remove any chance of false positives. This certainty will enable our Customer Support team to focus on interacting with legitimate accounts; in most cases, tickets about accounts closed for cheating will go unanswered.
Account security is the responsibility of the authorized account user. Thus, we will similarly be unable to assist with any cheat closure resulting from sharing or inadequately protecting the account's login information. Note that in the case of a legitimate account compromise connected with compromise of the associated email address, we recommend contacting the computer-crimes division of your local law enforcement; we will cooperate with law enforcement through official channels, which may result in removal of the account ban.
A common concern of the community is that our anti-cheat efforts are coordinated with account creation targets. We can not only reject this claim, we have reviewed our subscriber data and found no correlation between closure waves and surges in account creation. While anti-cheat is a never-ending battle, you can be assured that we will never give up the fight.
