3. The market system consists of a loose agreement drawn up with T.P. Corkin of Vancouver. This sales agent calls on food store chains. To date, the only product that Corkin has successfully introduced is the company’s line of waterproof nylon baby pants. These are now listed with Safeway, Overwaitea and Federated Co-op stores. There are no promotional program, no customer quality control, nor is there a strategy regarding product development.
4.All of the company’s employees are Korean and almost all of them are not proficient in English. The three knitting machine operators and four sewers cannot read or write in English. Consequently, only Park is able to direct their tasks and activities. The Canadian secretary is under considerable stress she also assumes responsibilities for purchasing , inventory management , sales liaison and bookkeeping , in addition to her secretarial duties.
5. Park has a peculiar arrangement with a sales agent in Mexico who purchases an average $5000(U.S.) a month in mesh gloves. All cheques are endorsed to Park personally.
