In conclusion, egg quality at ovulation is not substantially different
between 20 °C and 22.5 °C but inferior at 17.5 °C and 25 °C. Ovulation
begins earlier and over-ripening progresses more rapidly at 22.5 °C
than at 20 °C. If females are treated with MIS in the evening and artificial
insemination is carried out in the next morning, ovulation check
and stripping need to be conducted at shorter intervals from earlier in
the morning at 22.5 °C than at 20 °C. Therefore, taking into account
labor requirements, the lower temperature is more practical between
20 °C and 22.5 °C for the stripping and insemination method as long
as females are induced to ovulate according to the current protocol.
