It can be prepared by dehydrating H 2 SeO 4 or the reaction of that acid with SO 3. Selenium trioxide is
soluble in organic solvents. Dehydration of Te(OH) 6 gives TeO 3, which exists in two forms in the solid
state. Neither SeO 3 nor TeO 3 have large-scale commercial use.
