Two years ago Reuter ran a story of a factory worker in the UK who won a 11million lottery prize. The sun newspaper recently ran another story that told of the death of the lucky winner.
After a 20 – month spree on cigarettes, drink and takeaway food, Ernie Bailey, 63, has departed. Failing to follow doctors’ advice, Ernie, who had become 140 kilogrammes, smoked like a chimney, drank like a fish and ate like a lion.
One friend said of the dearly departed : “He was told time and time again after winning the lottery to give up smoking because of his heart condition and to cut down on drinking and lose some weight. But Ernie enjoyed his cigarettes, visiting his local pub and staying up late to watch videos and eat takeaways”
