It can be noted that the specific surface area and total pore volume of the NiOorg catalyst are larger than those of the NiOppt catalyst. The high surface area of NiOorg catalyst than that of NiOppt catalyst suggests that the organic method has aided to form smaller particles of the active NiO species due to an induced interaction through the preparation method employed, which is indicated further from the average pore size which is proved to be smaller for NiOorg than NiOppt, Table 1[24].
