Structured Clinical Interview for DSM diagnosis (SCID):
the SCID is a semi-structured diagnostic interview for assessing
the DSM (First et al., 2002) Axis I disorders. At the end
of the SCID interview a rating of the severity of the disorder
was made using the Clinician's Severity Rating (CSR)
(DiNardo et al., 1993). The CSR is a 0–8 scale indicating the
level of distress and/or impairment associated with a given
symptom cluster. A score of four or higher indicates clinical
severity. Interrater reliability has been demonstrated for CSRs
with kappa coefficients ranging from k=0.67 to k=0.86 for
the various anxiety disorders (Brown et al.,
