Mechanical preservation
A1 Note:
Ensure that equipment is not energized other than for heating or pressurized and that safety precautions are followed.

Shafts on rotating equipment which are not locked shall be rotated 1 ¼ turn in the rotating direction to avoid brine ling when located in one position for long periods make sure that the new shaft position varies from check to check. Bearings with lube oil housing check level is adequate prior to rotation.

Check that comportment heater into gas turbine housing is working
Check that all preservation heading are energized and working
Check and report that preservation of control; Instrument, switchgears room, quarters and officers are maintained as per preservation requirement.
Check that all filled liquid have correct level and added with antifreeze when needed
Check storage and preservation condition on all mechanical shipped loose equipment.
Check nitrogen pressure if filled.
Check and report that duct blinds are fitted on nozzle in and out from skids a single item of equipment and on pipe ends and ducts. If pipes are hooked up to any equipment in term gravity sheet metal blind with ample size red painted handle shall be inserted between the end flange faces.
Check and report that painted and machine surfaces, which shall be coated with preservative wax or oil are maintained.
Check and report that the protective standing roof or ply rool cover which shall be fitted are maintained.
Check and report any discrepancies or damage occurring during contract period for all mechanical equipment.

Open up access hatch or inspection nozzles check and report internal condition of surfaces and entering personation on carbon steel coolers heater crude/gas maters, tanks and vessels, centrifugal, screw reciprocating compressors.

Rotating equipment
Which have no. pipes connected to inlet and outlet nozzles to be blinded with 6 mm steel plate with 2 mm rubber gasket, where pipes are connected to inlet and out nozzles DUST BLINDs shall be installed.

Centrifugal Compressors
Unit Installation the compressor can be stored outside it the packing is suitable for minimum 6 months outside storage. It the compressor is stored in the warehouse no H/AC is required, check that no enter is trapped in the crate or in any cover.
