Manchester United officials ‘make direct contact with Tottenham Hotspur regarding transfer of Harry Kane’
Manchester United officials have reportedly made direct contact with Tottenham Hotspur regarding the transfer of Harry Kane.
The Red Devils’ hierarchy are plotting a £40million move for the England international who Louis van Gaal has great admiration for.
The Dutch boss sees Kane, 21, as the long-term successor to Wayne Rooney, according to the Sun.
And United hope that he can have the same impact as Rooney when they bought him as a teenager in 2004.
Rooney has also expressed to LvG that he would like to renew their international partnership at club level.
