The accuracy level determines the leaks’ dimension that the tester is able to detect during the test.
The accuracy can change according to some parameters which we can resume in the following way:
Size of the cans which have to be tested (blank thickness …)
Tester’s working speed
Number of testing heads mounted on the machine
Perfect efficiency of the machine that depends on a good maintenance
As basic information, we can affirm that more long is the duration of the test, the level of accuracy that you can reach will be better.
This is the reason for which the statistical testers, which, working off-line, have the possibility to test the cans for a more long time, are able to reach an higher accuracy level than a 100% tester
We must value all these factors which can influence the accuracy level of the tester, so it is always difficult to give standard values for every type of machine; the same type of tester, to do an example, can do a test on the same can size with different levels of accuracy if only its working speed will be decreased, because in this way the test duration will be longer.
So we invite you, if you want to know the level of accuracy reachable by one of our testers, to contact us directly in a way to give us all the data concerning your production exigencies and the can sizes that you want to test; in this way we will be able to value the best type of tester for you and to give you the precise level of accuracy that the tester can reach.
