Abstract
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD)inchildhoodisassociatedwithimpaired
functioning inmultiplecognitivedomains:executivefunctioning(EF),rewardandtiming.
Similar impairmentshavebeendescribedforadultswithpersistentADHD,butanextensive
investigation ofneuropsychologicalfunctioninginalargesampleofadultpatientsiscurrently
lacking. WesystematicallyexaminedneuropsychologicalperformanceontasksmeasuringEF,
delay discounting,timeestimationandresponsevariabilityusingunivariateANCOVA’s compar-
ing patientswithpersistentADHD(N=133, 42%male,meanage36)andhealthyadults(N=132,
40% male,meanage36).Inaddition,wetestedwhichcombinationofvariablesprovidedthe
highest accuracyinpredictingADHDdiagnosis.Wealsoestimatedforeachindividualthe
severity ofneuropsychologicaldysfunctioning.Lastly,weinvestigatedpotentialeffectsof
stimulant medicationandahistoryofcomorbidmajordepressivedisorder(MDD)onperfor-
