applications such as fresh meat, poultry, fish and cheese packaging. oxygen-free environment alone is
insufficient to retard the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio species, Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus and
Enterococcus faecalis at ambient temperatures. O2 and CO2 absorber inhibited the growth of Clostridium
sporogenes (Scannell et al 2000).
