4. Conclusion
In this study, an eco-friendly and novel AA-LDS-LLME-SFOD
method combined with microscale UV–Visible spectrophotometry
was developed and validated for the rapid determination of carotenoids
in 100% fruit juices. The main benefits of the proposed
method are simplicity, the use of a relatively inexpensive and common
spectrophotometer, ease of preparation, speed, a lack of hazardous
extraction steps, a decrease in the extraction time, and
reduced organic solvent consumption at lL levels (only 40 lL).
The extraction solvent is dispersed into the sample solution in
the absence of a disperser solvent. In addition, this method also
features a low detection limit, simple operation, good precision
and accuracy, and high recovery of the analyte under the optimum
conditions. A suitable screening method could be useful for food
analysis and phytochemical research.
