To begin to optimize the yield of PHA produced by R. eutropha Re2058/pCB113, an extended batch fermentation was performed with a two fold increase in the culture’s total nitrogen concentration (4.5 g/L urea, 150mM nitrogen)
compared to the batch fermentation described previously (Budde et al., 2011b).
