Prevalence of Total Bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus on Healthcare Workers’ Mobile Phone in Patient Department Aikchol Hospital, Chonburi Province, using the swab test. Twenty samples were collected from Healthcare Workers’ Mobile Phone in Patient Department Aikchol Hospital, Chonburi Province during November 2014 to December 2014. The samples were cultured and examined by standard microbiological laboratory methods. The results total showed that 20 samples (100 %) were contaminated with bacteria. Maximum present in 3.09 ± 0.06×103 cfu/cm2 from mobile phone and minimum present in 5.39 ± 3.15×10 cfu/cm2. According to the results, S. aureus contarmination in mobile phone were found 1 sample(…%) was conducted from 0.19 cfu/cm2. Were tested for antimicrobial susceptibility to it. That is resistant to antibiotics, Penicillin (10 units), and the antibiotic Ampicillin (10 μg) and sensitivity to antibiotics Cefoxitin (30 μg), antibiotics Oxacillin (1μg), the antibiotic Gentamicin (10 μg) were contaminated. Coagulase negative Staphylococcus 15 samples (... percent). This study has demonstrated that the Prevalence of Total Bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus on Healthcare Workers’ Mobile Phone in Patient Department Aikchol Hospital, Chonburi Province may be a common mechanism of transfer of potentially pathogenic bacteria among patients and healthcare workers. To clean the mobile phone will reduce the chance of this contamination.
