2.3. Statistical analysis
Statistical analysis of data (Mean7Standard error) was carried out using SPSS
statistical package programs. As there were no significant differences (P40.05)
among control data (fish lived in tap water only for 0, 1, 7 and 14 day), all control
data were pooled (24 fish). However, salinity controls were treated individually as
there were variations in their levels in different exposure durations. Thus, each
parameter was analyzed separately by One-way Anova to evaluate the changes in
each salinity control and combination exposure (salinityþmetal). Significant
differences (Po0.05) were reanalyzed by Duncan tests to determine which
individual group was significantly different from control.
