indicating that MUFA were either the primarily lipids catabolized or the embryos were capable of desaturating fatty acids. Temperature did not influence percent lipid content or percent MUFA, but percent SFA was influenced by temperature at fin flutter and percent PUFA at gastrulation, eyed and fin flutter. Abundant fatty acids, such as 18:1(n-9c) and 22:6(n-3), were retained during development and were often higher at 2–3.3 °C, indicating a potential role at colder temperature.
