Develop a model for the effective utility of the system in support of
pedagogical approaches. The authors intend to explore utility of a
T5 editor model with students and teachers using RISAL to refine
this model and develop an appropriate strategy for pedagogically
effective use of the system resources and features. The T5 model
(Tasks/Tutoring/Teamwork/Topics/Tools) originally developed
and piloted at the University of Waterloo, Canada (Salter,
Richards, & Carey, 2004) was designed to address the following
goals: Promote a learning-centred and outcomes-based
approach to course design and delivery, promote interaction in
learning and teaching (interaction with teachers/peers/content
resources); integrate instructional design for online and campusbased
learning and encourage the re-use of assets.
