Temperature management is one of the most vital factor
that affects the quality of fresh produce. There is an optimum
storage temperature for all products. The ideal temperature
for a fresh produce often depends on the geographical origin
of the product [12]. Tropical plants that grow in warmer
climates and therefore cannot tolerate low temperatures
during storage. Most fruits from tropical regions must be
stored above 12oC. This is in contrast to plants that grow in
temperate, cooler climates can be stored at 0oC [13].
