According to the record of electricity expenses and the quantitative analysis on the energy consumption, the geothermal system, compared to the boiler system, is more energy-efficient (Fig. 13). The geothermal heat exchanger conserves electric power by 26%, as shown in Table 6. In addition, the geothermally assisted air-conditioned heating system conserves expenses on electricity by 54%.
Early deployment of the boiler system cost NT$1.6 million and NT$6 million for diesel fuel. If this amount is used to analyze the economic benefit of the deployment of geothermal plate heat exchanger, then it is estimated that the investment can be returned in approximately four to five years.
After the installation of the geothermal plate heat exchanger is completed, it is estimated that NT$909,235 can be saved every year,
