GDP in the first quarter of 2014 decreased by 0.6%, compared to a 0.6% growth in the previous
quarter. This was a result of a slower growth in agricultural sector and a contracƟon in non‐
agricultural sector. On domesƟc demand, government consumpƟon grew by 2.9% while household
consumpƟon and investment fell by 3.0% and 9.8%, respecƟvely. Net exports of goods and services
grew by 28.8% as exports fell by smaller amount than the fall in imports. AŌer seasonal adjustment,
GDP on the quarter‐by‐quarter basis decreased by 2.1%.
