. Teachers and school board members recognized curriculum
changes that were implemented;
. Parents observed that standards had been raised and that
children were learning and achieving at higher levels;
. Teachers entered the university and were completing degrees
and state certification;
. Children loved the interaction with the university faculty and the
university students; and
. Teachers, school board members, and parents acknowledged
that the change towards a more positive school climate was
the result of the increased reciprocal collaboration between the
university and the K–5 school.
