You happily worked at LexCorp as a technician, you loved your job there. You were still so young, with so many bright ideas, and being a part of his innovative program you had opportunities to release that inner creativity. But then there was her, the woman you worked with often as she was always on the same shift as you. You weren’t sure if she was jealous of you, but Mckenzie Garlow certainly didn’t like you. You knew it from day one and now your suspicions were proved. You worked silently to yourself at your station, a new model that would hopefully gain Lex’s attention. He rarely talked to you unless work was involved and honestly, you didn’t really like the guy. But that didn’t stop him from coming to you first, when it came to certain things.
“(Y/N). Hey, I just wanted to tell you that the boss is showing up today…” You paused, your expression turning into completely shock as you glanced over at Mckenzie. Her arms were crossed and she was smiling maniacally. “He is coming to make sure we are making progress. I am going to tell you him you have nothing because well… You missed all of last week without calling in sick.” It was a threat, it was a means to destroy the job you loved oh so much.
“Why the f-” Your fists clenched and you slammed them on the desk, taking deep breathes as you tried to think of something to show him. You had the plans, just not the mechanism down. You were sick last week, but couldn’t afford the leave in pay, you still worked from home. You then began to organize everything, Mckenzie stood at the glass doors of the lab, waiting excitedly for them to open. You, however, were a nervous wreck. You ran this way and that, shuffling unnecessary papers into the desk and grabbing your blue prints just before the doors sifted open and in walked Luthor with his assistant.
“Hello Lovely Ladies, I have a meeting in five minutes so you might want to make this snappy. Hit me with your best shot.” He pointed at you and you sucked in a deep breath.
“I don’t have a model, but I have the bluepr-”
