The antimicrobial studies of the isolates were determined by Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method [1,5]. Muller Hinton agar (MHA) plates were prepared at least 24 hours before used. 50 μl of prepared antimicrobial agent was pipetted onto sterilized paper disc (6 mm) and allowed to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile, each of the plate was swabbed with the respective isolate and Escherichia coli and Bacillus cereus were included as control.
The prepared discs were placed on the surface of nutrient agar. Finally, the plates were incubated at 37 0C for 24 hours before the zone of inhibition was measured.
