If iTunes Store credit was used to make your purchase, you may need to sign out of the iTunes Store and then sign back in. This refreshes your account balance information. I do recommend leaving a review on the product page for this app with regards to this matter, as developers do try to respond as quickly as possible when they see a feedback in the App Store.
