From the analysis of the empirical data by industry, two clearly identifiable patterns can be established, first the similar contextual pressures/externalities, and second increasing concentration of economic power within each of the four industries. Each of industries has the different timing of experience or strategy for making the business but all the companies succeed in the domestic market in approximate time. Nevertheless in 1980s most of the selected companies went to make business overseas and from the study, those companies went with 3 key factor that are those companies had limited FDI traditions, they developed what it term 'the domestic portfolio mentality'; and they relied on strategic assets for competitive advantage.
