This could be explained by considering that, although different weight ratios of DCP were adopted to maintain a
constant concentration relative to the amount of NR (1.5% weight of NR component), the actual usage of DCP was
increased as the NR content increased, which also increased the contact probability of the effective DCP radicals and NR
phase during mixing, resulting in a promoted reactive compatibilization at the PLA and NR interfaces.
On the basis of the above results, the excellent interfacial adhesion between the PLA and NR phases in the blends probably resulted from the increased interfacial reactions between PLA and NR during the DCP-induced dynamic vulcanization.
