4. Align your actions with best practices
When you put actions in place, make sure all those actions work together and are
integrated with one another – otherwise you will have a system that works against
itself.
Examples of Contradiction
• If you are trying to promote more collaboration within your team but your incentive
program is based only on individual actions, you will not achieve your desired goals.
• If you do quarterly incentive payments, yet you only do a performance review on a
semi-annual basis, the system will not work.
