I am sorry that 1 out of the 26 shipments of part number BK2A 9H454 DA totalling 42120 pieces, had a total of 480 pieces of the wrong part in the boxes.
What I don’t understand is, you received the shipment on 14 March and discovered a total of 360 pieces wrongly shipped by 24 March. Why didn’t someone check the other 17 boxes then, instead of leaving it for nearly another 2 months before finding another 120 pieces wrongly shipped? From my calculations you use approximately 220 pieces per day, so you should have be using approximately 2 boxes a day so within 10 working days you should have been able to see the 120 pieces wrongly shipped for your claim number 8D15017WS.
The claim is outside the time limit and as per the procedures, so the claim is rejected.
As this was only one shipment we do not normally ask the supplier for an 8D report, but of course if they continue to pack the wrong part then we would chase them for improvements in their packing process.
