For per-gene normalization, the expression value obtained for each gene on
each of the three “disease-treated” arrays was divided by the
mean value obtained for that gene in the three control-treated
arrays. Finally, two lists of significant probes (epiBL-responsive
at either 24 or 48 h post fungal treatment) were generated using a
student t test with a fold-change threshold of ≥2 and ≤–2, with a
P value < 0.05 (the cut-off previously used).
