govt adds cartoons to anti-graft drive
the government plans to include cartoons as part of its drive to promote anti-corruption awareness among schoolchildren.
gen chart-udom tit-thasiri, chairman of a committee on monitoring the state sector's budget spending, said schools under the office of the basic education commission(obec) currently have an anti-corruption curriculum entitled,grow up and do not cheat aimed at instilling values of moral integrity in schoolchildren.
gen chartu-dom said prime minister prayut chan -o-cha has instructed obec to include cartoons in the curriculum to make it more fun and engaging for learners going forward from this academic year.
he also said a government anti-corruption panel has wrapped up work carried out over the past year and presented a report on anti-graft efforts to the cabinet so other agencies will be able to implement them.
the report will provide both thais and other countries with information regarding progress in anti-graft efforts.
