2 Looking forward at new objectives A useful follow-up to the retrospective type of assessment through the can-do techniques is to form a link with our next project or language activity. This can be formalised through a list of need to or want to objectives. This list would indude those past objectives we have not satisfactorily achieved, the new objectives of the new activity, and those which interest the students and are put forward spontaneously. A possible card would be similar to the one drafted for the can-do assessment
