From the above, we can see quality competence is presented as vehicle by which china industry can increase its sustained competitive advantage in the global marketplace. It has been 20 years since the concept and method of quality management was introduced to our country, most of our country’s companies have established quality management system, and such terms as TQM, ISO 9000 series, Six Sigma, etc. are more and more familiar with Chinese producers and customers. While, there is still the experience of poor quality is exacerbated when employees of the company either are not empowered to correct quality inadequacies or do not seem willing to do so. We have all encountered service employees who do not seem to care. The consequences of such an attitude are lost customers and opportunities for competitors to take advantage of the market need. For these phenomenon, there are many reasons, however, one of which is that we do not see the strategic status of the quality management and the right way to implement the quality management method, such as TQM. Here I will give some suggestions about how our industry can use the concepts of quality competence to sustain an advantage over foreign competitors.
