Grain yield was higher by as much as 126% for the
first cropping season, and by 30% for the fifth cropping
season at 1m distance from the tree stump and declined
with the distance (Fig. 1). Compared to control,
increase in grain yield was recorded up to 5m from the
tree stump for the first cropping season, which receded
to 2m in the fifth cropping season.
