We have been monitoring the performance of Tank 2 Super Unleaded at Shell NUAMEK CO LTD (BRANCH 5) (10041764) for the last two weeks. Since the under-dispensing pumps were reset tank performance has improved and the tank is performing consistently with other tanks in the terminal. We are therefore closing this investigation. Please see below for a summary of this investigation:
• Tank 5 began to show excessive gains during March. Investigation opened and PLIP A requested on 17/03.
• PLIP A1 submitted 22/03 and PLIP A2 submitted 25/03 discovered that "3 dispensers were installed but didn't have meters set at that time." TM requested new meter calibrations.
• WSFP Analyst has escalated to a PLIP B on 11/05. PLIP B report received on 18/05. Meter calibrations show that all pumps are under-dispensing outside of tolerance at (-25, -50, -50, -50, -50, -50). Meters will now be reset (SLA 02/07) and associated pump line will be integrity tested.
• Confirmed on 01/06 that meters were reset to zero on 24/05 and integrity test on 25/05 found no leak.
• Tank was placed under Monitoring to see if meter resets cause tank performance to improve.
• Volume gains have now reduced and tank performance is consistent with terminal trends. Investigation can be closed.
• Total investigation time = 89 days.
We thank you for your co-operation during this investigation.
