Tim Sweeny of Thompson, the owner of Creeway Aviation, has been named the winner of the Excellence in Aboriginal Small and Medium Enterprises Award by the Aboriginal Business Education Partners program at the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business.

A licensed commercial pilot and a certified aircraft maintenance engineer, Sweeny has over 15 years of experience in the aviation industry. His company offers charter flight service on a Piper Navajo CR from its private terminal in Thompson, with aircraft prepared for departure in as little as one hour, depending on the circumstances. The aircraft have a range of 1,000 statute miles and a speed of up to 200 miles per hour for as many as six passengers.
