The occurrence and concentrations of AFM1 in Croatian raw and commercial UHT milk in the period February to July are presented in Table 2. The AFM1 contamination levels were determined in the ranges: raw milk 3.25–1135.0 ng/L; UHT milk 3.98–183.5 ng/L. The highest positive mean (131.0 ng/L) and the highest level of AFM1 (1135.0 ng/L) were measured in raw milk collected in February and March. The statistical analysis of the data showed a significant difference between the mean concentrations of AFM1 in raw and UHT milk samples in February, March, May and June (P < 0.05, all).
