The results of 7 °Be initial density fermentations are not
shown. All biocatalysts performed well in all tested solutions
of molasses, showing similar fermentation rates, Wnal
ethanol concentrations and ethanol productivities, and
good operational stability at 30 and 20 °C. The values of
these fermentation parameters were slightly improved as
far as the biocatalyst BSG1 was concerned, as expected
from the estimated numbers of viable yeast cells immobilized
on the above supports, at two stages of the batch fermentation
process.
