Here are the details of what we have now and the problems we have faced,
We have a 4,000 cfm wet scrubber system with cyclone, this was meant for
the smoke from the kiln, we also have a 4,000cfm bagging plant with cyclone
and jet pulse cleaning for the bags.this was meant for the dust extraction.
The wet scrubber is getting too much dust and particulate which is making the
water very dirty after only a few hours running, the system cannot remove all
the particulate so a lot of it goes out through the stack, which as you can imagine
is not good for the locals, and any government inspection.
We have now been advised to swap over to the bagging plant, as this should remove
most of the particulate that is creating the smoke emmissions.
looking at the dust from the kiln I dont think that the 4,000 cfm bagging plant is
big enough to deal with the kiln when we increase the production from it, we
are only running now at around 15% of its capacity to keep the smoke down
while we run the wet scrubber, today we should have transferred the suction from
the kiln to the bagging plant from the wet scrubber, hoping for a better result.
My staff contacted TSK today explaining our needs for advise on a better extraction
system for our kiln, they replied that they are not experts on extraction systems, they had
done some small units before, but had subcontracted this work out, anyway we have made
an appointment with them at our plant tomorrow at 2.30 pm, very interested to see what they
could do for us, Please could you see what you can find out from them.
