The level of information available to the delimiting parties will affect the way they define their endpoints. For example, the parties to the second and third associated agreements will have a geographical reference formed by the preceding agreement(s). They will know where the other boundaries (or boundaries) end and on what terms because one or both of the parties will necessarily have been a party to an associated, preceding boundary with the third state. With this knowledge the parties have several potions. They could avoid the tripoint by stopping short of the preceding boundary.
