(1984, 1985) place an emphasis on human resource policies such as employeeinfluence, human resource flow, reward systems and work systems, which should bedesigned to promote the development of flexible, adaptable and highly committedemployees. Perhaps most significantly, however, from equality and diversity perspectives, is the emphasis on the need for policies to be integrated within the overal
