Seven days after the WSSV challenging, however, all shrimps in the
control group died (Fig. 1). The cumulative mortality of shrimps fed
with 0.2% of dietary β-glucan was significantly lower than those fed
with 0.1% of dietary β-glucan (p b 0.05). However, shrimps fed with
0.1% of dietary β-glucan derivatives showed lower mortality than
those fed with 0.2% of derivatives. Besides dietary contents,DS of the derivatives
also significantly influenced the mortality of shrimps (p
b 0.05). For shrimps fed with 0.1% of dietary CMGs, the mortality increased
with the increasing of DS. Similar trend was found in the
shrimps fed with 0.2% of dietary SEGs. The shrimps fed with 0.1% of dietary
CMGA showed the lowest cumulative mortality among all groups
(6.25 ± 3.61%).
