In an environment where academic globalization may become the norm, solutions to contemporary teaching and learning problems frequently include methods that promote effective communication, assist in resolving telecommuting opportunities, and use advanced information technology to support learning at a distance. Of importance, many of the solutions afforded by converged networks apply to traditional as well as distance learning environments. Innovation centered on enhanced communications is often at the center of these solutions. This panel will explore these ideas.
