In this work new data were provided for the solubility of gallic
acid in (water + ethanol) mixed solvents at temperature range
from (293.15 to 318.15) K). The values of the solubility of gallic
acid in binary mixed solvents increase with rising temperatures.
Two equations were used to correlate the experimental values
for the gallic acid solubility. One is a nonlinear equation for the
pure solvents while the other is a fifth polynomial equation for
the mixed solvents. Calculated solubility values show good agreement
with experimental values. Data presented in this work are
essential for the industrial development of gallic acid extraction
and purification processes.
