Hi Ink
What a pleasure to learn about you through your application. We look forward to meeting you over Skype or by phone if you think you may be interested in matching with us after reading our essay. We have had Au Pairs from South Africa and Columbia and have had a wonderful experience over the past several years.
In the meantime, here's a link to our city to see if you could be interested in living here: http://baltimore.org/
We are looking for someone with experience with young children. Brandon is 3.5 years old and Everett is almost 1 year old. Also, we have a lovely (large) dog Bailey, who is an important member of our family.
We are looking to welcome our new Au Pair into our home ideally by early August (later is possible as well)
Regarding a schedule overview, unfortunately due to the nature of our jobs, both Ron and I work nights, evenings and weekends and there is not a consistent schedule. We typically get our schedules 1-2 months in advance. As an example, my shifts can be 7a-3p, 11a-7p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a, 7a-7p or 7p-7a but I do not work every day. The Au Pair schedule varies from week to week and depends on my schedule and Ron's schedule. As we mentioned in our essay, flexibility is important for us. As soon as we get our schedules, we are happy to share it with you so that you can plan your time accordingly.
On the plus side, you will have extra time off to travel or explore your surroundings (in addition to your vacation weeks), especially when we have to travel for work.
If this timeline works for your schedule, could you let us know what time would be convenient to talk?
Sincerely,
Mimi
