The Yijing has remained a very useful text, and is still widely used as a resource for interpreting messages from nature through the hexagrams.
Its reliance on the two types of signs, solid or broken lines, yin and yang, is a fundamental aspect of East Asian philosophical thinking (=the need to maintain balance between poles).
