Good morning everyone. I'm glad to be here today. The topic of my talk this morning is on of our most important thai customs.
This custom is called loy krathong. "Loy" mean"float" and a kratong is like a small boat.with a candle,some flowers and three joss sticks on it. Here is a picture of krathong. Every november on night of the full moon,everybody floats his or her sins away by putting a krathong on the water inthe river or a canal, or even on a pond. In some ways.this custom is like thanksgiving because it is to give thanks for water. Don't forget that thailand depends a lot on rice. And rice depends on water.
