In order to examine the influence of acidity on the separation of glycerol, ultrafiltration tests were performed with the mixture produced from the transesterification of crude canola oil, whose acidity is 2.4%, that is ten-fold higher than the acidity of the re- fined canola oil. For the production of the reaction mixture, transesterification was carried out at 30 °C and 1:7.5, which was the best condition when using an oil with high acidity [30].
