Once the homogenization of chitosan/bioactive glass/genta-micin sulfate completed,
the solutions were cast into well-plates.They were frozen at −20◦C for all-night to frozen the core of thematerial and placed in a freeze-dryer at 0.65 mbar at −60◦C dur-ing 24 h to remove all solvents in samples.
Obtained scaffolds werewashed in a NaOH solution 0.4% w/v and distilled water to eliminatetraces of acetic acid. They were frozen and lyophilized as previouslystated.
Finally, scaffolds of 13 mm of diameter were obtained withdifferent amounts of chitosan and bioactive glass.
