These are Kaplan’s Nature Theme carpets.
They are muddier in their colors and tend
to go too dark with the browns and the
blues. They need some brighter tones
and need to identify with the age of the
child and the activity. The best is probably
the owl tree alphabet carpet, but it
still is too dark to really brighten up a
classroom. The one directly below on the
gray bar is really dark and is very modern.
I’ll have to check on the sales but that
one seems to be neither here nor there,
meaning it’s not really primaries and the
circular theme is really more modern
than natural so you have to be careful
when designing these carpets to choose
the right theme for the color palette, and
then the right age for the color palette
and the theme. It’s not as easy as it looks!
